Privacy First Approach: VideoCompress is designed with your privacy as our top priority. All video compression happens locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data or videos on our servers.

  • App Usage: Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., feature usage, crash reports) through Apple's built-in analytics
  • Purchase Information: In-app purchase status managed securely through RevenueCat and Apple's App Store

2. How We Process Your Videos

100% Local Processing: All video compression and processing happens entirely on your device. Your videos never leave your device and are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.

  • Video files remain in your device's local storage
  • Compressed videos are saved directly to your device
  • Thumbnails are generated and stored locally on your device
  • No internet connection is required for video compression

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect:

  • Anonymous user ID (generated randomly)
  • Purchase history and subscription status
  • Device identifier (for purchase validation)

3.2 Apple App Store

3.3 Analytics

We may use Apple's built-in analytics to collect anonymous usage data to improve the app. This data is completely anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.

  • App Settings: Your preferences (theme, quality settings, haptic feedback) are stored locally using Apple's secure storage APIs
  • No Cloud Storage: We do not use any cloud storage services for your content
  • Encryption: Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features and iOS encryption

5. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

  • Delete Videos: You can delete any compressed video and its thumbnail at any time from within the app
  • Clear Cache: Clear all cached data and thumbnails through the app settings
  • Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all app data from your device
  • Opt-Out of Analytics: You can disable analytics through your iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements

6. Children's Privacy

VideoCompress does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require personal information to function and can be used safely by users of all ages. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Since we don't collect personal data or access your videos, there is nothing to share.

We may disclose information only in the following circumstances:

  • To comply with legal obligations or valid legal requests
  • To protect our rights, safety, or property
  • In connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition (users will be notified)

8. International Users

VideoCompress is available worldwide. Since all processing happens locally on your device, your data remains on your device in your country and is subject to your local data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Displaying an in-app notification when you update the app
